DECREASE IMPULSIVE answering cue the child to slow
down and think about the response before answering questions. If
an incorrect response is given, cue the child to think and try again.
Provide extra time for processing and self-correcting. Give the
child enough time to think and respond to auditory instructions
or questions. Before providing instructions make sure you have the
child's attention. Provide nonverbal cues to gain the child's attention.
Devise a cue with the child so they know it is time to focus and
listen. Teach the student to use visual information: look and listen...

I've read that household cleaners contain cancer-causing toxic
ingredients. What should I do, then, to keep my house clean but
also safe for my kids? - Christine Stewart, via e-mail.
WHILE
MUCH OF THE RESEARCH
is mixed or inconclusive, a variety of human and animal studies
have linked chemicals common in household cleaning products with
a wide range of health risks. The most offensive common ingredients,
according to a 2006 study by the University of California Berkeley
and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, are ethylene-based glycol,
used commonly as a water-soluble solvent in cleaning agents and
classified as a hazardous air pollutant by the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA), and terpenes, a class of chemicals found
in lemon, pine and orange oils that can morph into carcinogenic
compounds when they mix with ground-level ozone. Read

God is not causing your son with autism to suffer; your son is designed
as beautifully and as naturally and as precisely as he is intended

it is not being driven by God, but by the ignorance and prejudice
of others who misunderstand and misjudge him. One of the parts your
son plays—by virtue of his different way of being—is
